Contractor Agreement

The agreement between Security Shift UK and each self-employed SIA-licensed Officer using the platform to find work.

Status

You engage with Security Shift UK as an independent self-employed contractor. Nothing in this agreement, or in any shift you accept, creates a contract of employment, apprenticeship, agency worker relationship or partnership with Security Shift UK.

You are free to accept or decline any shift, to work for other platforms or clients, and to arrange your own working pattern. You are responsible for your own income tax, National Insurance contributions, VAT (if applicable), and any statutory or trade insurance.

Your obligations

Before and during every shift you must:

  • Hold a valid SIA licence for the role and produce it on request at the site.
  • Maintain valid right-to-work evidence on the platform.
  • Attend on time, in the correct uniform and equipment for the role.
  • Comply with the Company's lawful site instructions, its risk assessment and any assignment instructions.
  • Report incidents through the platform's incident tool within 12 hours.
  • Behave professionally, sober and free of any impairment.

Payment

You are paid the hourly rate advertised for the shift for verified hours worked, released within 5 working days of confirmed sign-off. You may opt into Instant Pay to receive funds within approximately 30 minutes for a 5% fee. Referral rewards, where earned, are paid into your referral wallet and can be withdrawn to your linked bank once Stripe Connect verification is complete.

No-show and cancellation

Failing to attend a confirmed shift, arriving late without notice, or cancelling within 2 hours of the rostered start is recorded as a no-show, affects your reliability score and may lead to suspension. Cancellation charges follow the schedule in the platform Terms.

Termination

Either party may end this agreement at any time on notice. Termination does not affect fees, cancellation charges, or obligations that have already accrued.
