Compliance Policy

The minimum compliance bar every Officer and Company must meet to use Security Shift UK.

Officer compliance — locked in

These requirements are enforced before any shift can be worked. There are no exceptions.

  • A valid SIA licence for the role, verified against the SIA register before the first shift and re-checked periodically.
  • Documentary evidence of right to work in the United Kingdom, verified before the first shift.
  • Verified identity (government-issued photo ID) and current address.
  • Attendance and conduct held to the reliability threshold — a reliability score at or above 70/100 to remain in the active pool.
  • Zero-tolerance policy on attending a shift under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Company compliance — locked in

These are enforced before a shift can be posted.

  • Verified UK business identity (Companies House registration, or sole trader details where applicable).
  • Public liability insurance evidence uploaded and current.
  • Employers' liability insurance where the Company has its own staff.
  • Signed acceptance of the Company Terms and Compliance Policy.

Ongoing monitoring

Licences are re-checked against the SIA register. Right-to-work documents are re-checked before expiry. Incident reports, no-shows and dispute outcomes are reviewed by the compliance team; accounts falling below the standards above are suspended pending review or permanently removed.
